Nolan and I had a lovely time in south Texas. The wife of the man Nolan went down to see is a totally easy room; she laughed a lot, it was super easy to entertain her, so that was good. I am, however, glad to be home and indoors today. I'm going to write, sew, and clean, not necessarily in that order.

This was one week ago, today. I absolutely adore it when the snow coats each individual branch and twig. It makes for prettiness.

The view from the front porch. 'Cause, you know I'm not going out in that. (I know, I know. I'm a weenie.)

Frosted holly berries

This is the ALT adventure space, where I teach. It just so happens that it's RIGHT next to a liquor store. So when anyone asks directions, it's fun to say, "You know where Pinkie's is? On Civic Circle?"

The awesome mural in the classroom.

My theatre 3 & 4's doing a warm up.

Nick, the sweet boy who's playing one of my sons in Over the Tavern.

The fancy working set. This is what we have to work with during the first few rehearsals until the set construction begins. Overturned paint buckets, crappy furniture, and taped out walls and steps on the floor. There should be at least platforms and the beginning of walls the next time I go in.

Went antiquing in Boerne (pronounced Berney) and didn't buy anything, but this book made me laugh. If it hadn't been $12.50, I would've bought it.

Check the name of the store on the glass window. It was very fancy, very expensive stuff. And there were a LOT of size twos. :P

We went to see the Spurs play in a very fancy shmancy terrace suite, with sofas and chairs and plush carpets. And the actual seats were like movie theatre seating. If you have to watch sports, that was definitely the way to go. Plus, basketball is exciting and fast-paced.
Well that was fun. Have a nice day!

I completely misread that. There's a football team over here called Tottenham who are nicknamed 'Spurs' and I have a slightly 'huh?' moment.
And I want that book. Hee.

I'm going to burn through the plays on at the West End. And do all the touristy stuff. And SHOP. *nods*
And that book was hysterical. I should have taken pictures of the illustrations on the inside.

No one here even mentions that tiny bit of snow. Seriously, I walked through more.
Spoiled Texans ;)
