Five Random Things

1.  I am going to see Rick Springfield in concert on Friday.  When my husband showed me the tickets I squealed like a 13 year-old girl.  I don't care if he's sixty - I've still got a crush!  YAY!  Rick Springfield!  WOOO HOOOO!

2.  I sent out *gulp* thirty-one invitations to my five year-old's birthday party.  I feel a little nauseated.  I keep telling myself, "He's worth it.  They won't all come.  He's worth it."

3.  My first grader got in the car after school today and he said, (with much distaste) "I got attacked by girls today.  I just tripped and fell and they jumped on me."  My first thought was "What kind of school are they running over there?" and then, "In 10 years you'll wish they'd jump on you."  Neither of which I said out loud.

4.  For the last five years or so I've been reading a cozy mystery series by Nancy Atherton.  The "Aunt Dimity" series.  They are such a sweet read, you don't have to think very much, and everything always ends happily.  I got the most recent one today and I'm sad I'm not going to get to read it til after I get home from teaching my class and rehearsal.

5.  I wrote 6 more pages last night.  I'm getting there.  We've acheived catburglary!

That's it.  Happy Monday!

Rick Springfield *swoons*

Just keep telling yourself, "He's worth it", because you know they'll all come *pats*

"In 10 years you'll wish they'd jump on you." *snerk* He will be wishing that! I just love little boys' perceptions of the fairer sex *giggles*

Yay for achieving catburglary!

I know. Rick Springfield. I used to watch him on a Soap Opera here in the States when I was little. General Hospital, I think. Did you ever catch that?

We did have General Hospital here when I was a kid! I don't think it was on here by the time he became popular *s*

Dr. Noah Drake, if I remember correctly. My cousin and I used to squeal when he'd come on. I was maybe 11? We have 2nd row, center seats. I shall try to control myself.

*giggles uncontrollably*

Just think, his last birthday party may be in only 8 short years.

He's still going to be having birthday parties when he's thirteen? Where's that sharp stick?
I think by that time I'll just drop him off at the movie theatre with a few friends.

Oh my gosh, Rick Springfield? I'd go see him!

I about died laughing when I read about your first grader's comment. That's so true what you said about ten years from now!

31 invitations? I did last last year for my first grader and I think we ended up with twenty eight coming. Be prepared! It was a day to remember though, that's for sure! And needless to say, she didn't have a 'friends' birthday party this February, I needed a year off.

Anyway, good luck with the writing! I can't wait to read whatever it is!

*gulp* 28? Really? I invited everyone in his preschool class but really don't expect all of them to come. And I live in the most Non- R.S.V.P. town ever. Nobaody ever pays attention to that here, they just show up. I'm hoping for 20. Or less. *crosses fingers*

Would you like to read what I've got so far for the contest fic and tell me if you think it makes sense? It does to me, but I'm very, very close to it. I'm not sure if I need to re-structure. If you'd like to, drop me a line - persephone3333@gmail.com.

First of all RICK IS THE BEST!!
Awesome performer and great entertainer. Last time I saw him was Dec 8th, 2006 in Missouri. A benefit concert he was doing for a family with a 12 yr old girl with brain stem cancer... check her out here http://saharaaldridge.blogspot.com/

Secondly...Rick isn't 60 years old yet. A mighty fine handsome man who has aged gracefully. :)

Thirdly...Rick is back on GH. If you see this message today(March 6th). You may want to tune into GH today, I believe he will be on today.

Lastly...I LOVE RICK SPRINGFIELD!!!!!!!!!!!!
