Yeah, I know you've missed it.
Employee of the Month *
Yeah, this was hubby’s pick. Artistically, this was not a cinematic masterpiece, but I have to admit, I did laugh sporadically. Basically, Jessica Simpson (who is from my hometown) is only in it for her breasts, the cleavage of which is visible for most of the movie. So, um, if you liked Clerks, or possibly Dazed and Confused, this is the movie for you.
The Odd Couple **
I probably shouldn’t have rented this so soon after having done the play. I knew all the jokes. Maybe if you don’t, it would be funnier. I love me some Walter Matthau, though. I think he’s hysterical.
Lady in the Water ***1/2
M. Night Shyamalan is a frickin’ genius. I’m probably the last person in the continental
Superman Returns **
I swear to you, New Superman Boy (can’t remember his name-can’t be fussed to Google it) sounds just like Christopher Reeve in the first one, but he’s much, much prettier. Did anyone else think he looked a little chubby sometimes, though? I loved Kevin Spacey. And Parker Posey. What was with the dog? She didn’t need it. And to be perfectly honest, I only watched the last ¾ of it, so mayyyybe a star could’ve been lurking in the part that I missed. Probably not. It really irritated me when they set it up all nice and pretty for a sequel. Grr.
Open Season **** (according to Ethan and Aaron)
To quote my six year old, “It was so awesome, Mom. It was really funny!”
I’ll take their word for it.
Anyone got any movie recs for me? I have a Netflix addiction. Feed it.
And Doctors and labs and everyone that works for them have no care in the world for the little people. After calling twice, I've recieved NO response from them, but have received one from mother nature, and I'm fairly certain that there will be no mini-Persephone in nine months. Whew. Dodged a bullet, there.
