Awww, it's okay, Miss Crankypants. :( Poor Colin! At least your old house is now closed on, so that's a...plus-? Sorry about the termite bill - ouch! Yep, kids and dome lights. The little dears just don't get 'em, do they?
Man, I hate when they push the closing date back on a new house, but it is rather common. They give you a date and then say (as the date approaches): "Oh, my gosh, did we say August? What were we thinking? We meant October!" (Well, that's how it was for us, anyway. Thankfully, we were renters and our landlord let us stay as many extra months as we needed to. It was just annoying having to start another new school year in the old house when we had planned to be gone by then. Grrr....)
Hang in there. Your new house sounds wonderful. And with any luck, you'll get your fic exchange gift soon, and that will cheer you up (provided you have internet so you can read it). :) If not, call me and I'll read it to you. *hem, hem - as if I could read half as well as the voice of the D/G podcasts!*
