So a very sweet girl sent me a DVD of Hairspray this past week. I've been watching it on a kind of non-stop loop since then.
Nolan isn't a fan.
Don't get me wrong. He loves theatre; we have the same degree. He was Master Carpenter for the Dallas Shakespeare Festival for a few years, and we were in some shows together in college, but that type of musical isn't his thing.
I'm okay with it. Doesn't keep ME from watching it.
Earlier this morning the boys and I were watching it, and they were doing a stirring rendition of "Good Morning Baltimore," when he got up. He glared at me and sent the boys outside with a football to play. I just giggled. He growled about keeping the boys away from musical theatre, and mumbled that they should play outside more. I rolled my eyes.
Later, we were laying on the couch watching one of the last numbers, the Miss Teenage Hairspray pageant part, and my sweet husband, who has no idea the extent of my James Marsden obsession, turns to me and says, "I need a jacket like his."
Me. (innocently) Who?
Nolan. Cyclops, there.
Me. (giggles hysterically inside)Ah. Yes. You could totally pull that off, babe.

And it's MY fault that the boys like musicals? *coughs* My husband(who is definitely straight)'s shoe collection and taste in clothes indicates otherwise.

Yup. That's my hubby. :)
Boys are silly, is my theory.
And *sob* my Hairspray DVD is all worn out... I guess that's what happens when you watch it about 100 times in 3 months...

I know all of the words to every song of several musicals, and can hum along to many others.
I'm straight, but I don't have a large collection of shoes, nor do I have a wide selection of wardrobe options beyond the T-Shirt and Jeans Realm.
Also, I do have to say that the boys liking musicals is probably the fault of both of you, Miss "I Enjoy Being a Girl".

It's very true. That's my new audition piece, and I only rehearse it when they aren't home. No matter how funny I think it is, I can't have them singing that around town...

Though it is likely personal, so I won't pester. Just know I will miss you over there.
Hairspray is wonderful, though. I used "Miss Baltimore Crabs" as an audition piece for a musical I was in this spring. So much fun.

Celeste and I wanted to write with some other friends. We left in a totally amicable way, and we've started a new rpg. With some people that you know, actually. Jandjsalmon, mynuet, airmidm, mugglechump... a lot of the girls that write for Caliga have decided that the wanted to write for us, too. Both comms.
I don't know what the people that take over Caliga will do with Cormac and Pansy. But we'll still write them. There may be a few scenes still left that we wrote, I'm not sure what they'll do with them.
Our new community, si_muove_rpg, will start May 15, where Cormac/Pansy will live on. Because, frankly, I can't live without them. ;)

You two are leaving Caliga...
In my half asleep state, I nearly sorted my milk, all over my keyboard when I saw that your characters are up for audition.
What ever the reasons are - I'm not asking what they are - you two will be sorely missed. I adore the way you'll have fleshed out your characters and given them life. I will also really miss the brilliant writing.

We're starting another rpg with Mynuet and jandjsalmon, to drop a few names. :)
It'll start up May 15, I think. We've been doing this less than a week, and we've already got 27 characters! I'm going to try my hand at Ginny, so I'm very excited about it.
I'm still going to read Caliga. I've got to see if Justin/Lavender/Susan ever happen!

I ADORE your Pansy, and can't wait to read again. I just also realized that I follow Caliga from Pansy's page so crap - now I have to find someone elses homepage to read from.

Also, if you go to the OOC comm... um, si_muove_ooc and look at the profile, you can see all the cool characters we have already, and some of their VR's and stuff like that. :)

Wait - there was a possibility for a THREESOME THERE and I missed it?? (of course I am pretending that my penguin was not involved in an almost 3way) ;)

Come on over to si_muove_rpg for more Cormac and Pansy fun.
By the way, Cormac wonders what you were wearing when you had your almost-incident.
Sorry. He's incorrigible.

PS: About the milk, we breastfeeding mommies need out milk. The snorting part of it, yeah not so good - I agree. :)
