Good Things... and the Reunion

So fandom is going well, the ficexchange story has been through beta #1 and survived, and I finished recording the FIA June Podcast (angst fest of [DOOM]) and was even able to convert it to an mp3, with the help of mynuet.  Yay for people that undertand computers.  *thumps harddrive*  I'm listening to it now, to make sure it doesn't stink.

It's the last week of school, which means a lot of random strange stuff is going on, awards assemblies, last day parties, and the play my class wrote last year, Ambrosia, Peanut Butter, Kool-Aid and Enchiladas, a Story of the Teenaged Gods of Ancient Greece, is being performed tomorrow night, so YAY.  LOVE seeing my work onstage.  Love it.

Last day of Playwrighting is tonight, and as we are finished with both plays, we're meeting at a coffee shop and discussing next years prospects.  Good times.

My eldest turns 7 on Friday.  Gah.  Am old.  (But I was a child bride.)

We are *da da dummmm* going to my husband's family's reunion on Thursday evening; where the women are snarky, there's more meat than you can shake a stick at, and croquet is a bloodsport.  The boys and I will be at the pool, if anyone calls.  My sweet friend Jason is house sitting for us and feeding Katie Bell, who hurt her foot yesterday chasing behind the boys' go-kart.  The dog does NOT know when to say when.

Ha, I <3 my family reunions. Never a dull moment with my family. Our blood sports are bad mitten, horse shoes, 31 Knock (card game) and Texas Hold 'Em. Lots of fun. :)

Anyway I was wondering if I could take you up on your offer to scan my fic for the exchange when I'm finsihed? I've just finsihed it up (yes I know - procrastinator extraordinare here :P) but I still have to type it. I have Lyndsie going over it for SPaG and things of that nature but it would be nice to have another set of eyes to looks it over and give me some critiscm/comments. Would it be ok if I sent it to you either tommorow or Wensday? Or would that not be enough time? Anyway have fun at your reunion and give Katie Bell a pat from me!

Sure, the sooner the better! My other beta has a vicious red pen, and I'm sure she'll send mine back tomorrow or the next day, but if all you need is content, that's easy. We leave Thursday afternoon, so I'll be unable after that.

It must be really cool to see your plays actually performed. I can hardly even imagine it!

Good luck with the reunion. At least it sounds like it will be more fun than the ones I had to go to when I was a kid. The food was awful and there was absolutely nothing to do. I would have loved to have anything that was a bloodsport. Alas, I think the average age of people who attended was pushing 70. At least you will have something to do!
