This is mainly just me squeeing about how great it all was.  There's a LOT of pictures under the cut.  More of central park, the John Lennon memorial, and our vacation party.  Nothing Earth shattering!

Mom, me, and Em in Battery Park...  with the teensy tiny satue of Liberty in the background.   I totally look the tallest, don't I?

Me in fron tof the Bethesda Fountain.  It doesn't look like I was about to melt into a puddle from the heat, does it?  I was, I swear it was AFRICA hot.  The water lilies were lovely, and aside from the sweltering heat, I could've spent all day there.

This is my sister and I deciding, in fact, which way is uptown?  It's really a pity that out of the three of us, NONE of us had any sense of direction whatsoever.  We would start out, and nine times out of ten, we'd turn around because we were going the wrong way.  Especially when you come up from the Subway.  I just get turned around.  Emily made the comment that we should go the opposite of our instinct, and that would be right.  =P  Next time I go to NYC, I'm taking a compass.  Or my husband.  Either way, I'll be covered.

This is the John Lennon memorial and is a central park designated 'quiet zone'.  It's right across the street from the Dakota building (See earlier post).  I think it's truly amazing that even after so many years, people would leave a gift of a bouquet of daisies...  just on a Wednesday afternoon.  It was very touching.

This is the mall in Central park.  I bought a tourist-y picture of it in fall that I'm rather fond of.  In this picture, I particularly love the lady carrying the white parasol.

When other people take pictures, why don't they ever say,"One two three, SMILE?"  I look stunned, but this is us on our way to the theatre.

Sis and I in front of the New York Public Library, which, on a Thursday, didn't open until eleven o'clock in the morning.  I hope no one in New York needed to read before then.  It made me remember the scene in ghostbusters, and if you look really hard, you can see the homeless guy sleeping on the other side of the statue.  We were very quiet and didn't wake him.
