I must want to never stop moving.
But as long as I'm having fun, what the hell, right?
Here's what I've been up to, in case anyone has the burning desire to know.
I'm making ten (yes, you read that right, TEN) dresses for Bye Bye Birdie - for the "Put on a Happy Face" number. I love that song, I love the director, I love those kids, I love the Easter egg colored fabrics, I love to sew - it's a no-brainer.
I made nearly 300 truffles for The Ruffled Cup, an Amarillo Cupcakery, yesterday. It took about 4 hours, and I had fun hanging out with my friend Deanna.
I've been commissioned to do some art for Melessa Brooks, an inspirational speaker a I heard a few weeks ago. I've done a sketch, but it's not exactly what she wants. When I get five minutes, I'm going to try again.
Despite the vow I make EVERY TIME I'm in a musical, I plan on auditioning for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at the theatre on Monday. The lure of dancing and costumes is too much to ignore. My eight note range and I will be there with bells on. I don't expect a part - but auditions are always a barrel of fun.
The exhibit (the one that I got to dress up and wear JEWELRY for) including my dress, fur, photographs, and even the purple spider sparkle dress I made opens on March 25th. I can't wait!
And then there's cooking for home group on Wednesdays, the general upkeep of my home, mothering the boys and keeping Nolan in line (which is a full time job in and of itself).
That's enough for the present, I think. :)
