The four greatest phrases heard in my playwrighting class (who are big lurking lurkers who lurk, Jake)  yesterday:

*  "Lucky charms were created by hobos; that's why they smell like weed."

*  "You can find naked people everywhere!"

*  "Become a lesbian nun."

*  "Foxtrot for Jesus!"

*sigh*  There was a lot of laughing and not much writing that went on yesterday.  Thank God for Google docs.   *glares at students*

If you want to play, comment and I'll choose 7 of your userpics that I want you to explain.  Then you'll post the answers in your journal and the fun continues, see?

1.
It totally looks like Draco's doing the whole cheerleader "spirit fingers" thing which, ironically, I used to mock when I was in High School.  It makes me laugh.

2.
My playwriting class year before last  spent a great deal of time making fun of the "emo kids"; we even worked one into a play.  This icon cracked me up, and I use it when I'm feeling particularly sorry for myself.

3.
I detest clowns.  Rodeo and otherwise.  I think they are Cu-reep-y.  The book "IT" by Stephen King freaked me out so badly when I was in High School that I had to quit babysitting for these people who had decorated their child's room in a circus theme (yeah, that, and I thought babysitting sucked).  Who puts clowns in their kid's room!?  That's just psychotic!  Anyway, no love for the clowns.  This is like immersion therapy, I hope that the more I see it, the less I'll be creeped out.  It has not worked thus far.

4.
It's no secret that I love the ferret.  I totally think I could take Ginny.  I'm scrappy.  And quick.  *bobs and weaves*

5.
Have you seen Supernatural?  OH DEAR GOODNESS, GO!  It has stuff for the ladies (Jared Padelecki and Jensen Ackles) and stuff for the gentlemen (kick ass fight scenes and a muscle car) ans it is AWESOME.  Many thanks to [profile] numbabywho introduced me to this show.  Dean is nine different kinds of awesome.  If I were a guy, I would totally want to be Dean Winchester.  He ROCKS.

6.
My favorite character in the Twilight series is Alice Cullen, and [profile] fifthofdecember made this icon for me; it's a bastardized line from Eclipse that I came up with.  If you haven't read this series, go!  It's teenaged vampire/werewolf angst.  What's NOT to love?

7.
I used to watch the Road Runner/ Bugs Bunny hour with my Daddy when I was a child.  He loves slapstick, and I did too, back then.  Nolan says that I secretly still do.  Anyway, I love this particular cartoon, where Daffy Duck is Robin Hood, who has issues with his quarter staff.  "Ho! Haha! Guard! Turn! Parry! Dodge! Spin! Ha! Thrust!" and then it bends his beak backward.  I laugh every time.  Also, Porky Pig is a pretty fabulous Friar Tuck in that episode.  Also, theres the "Yoicks . . . and away!" where he swings on a vine into a tree.  Classic.

I've never understood fear of clowns. They don't particularly freak me out at all. They're just...clowns.

Anyway, pick me, pick me! (Or pick seven icons, LOL.)

You've obviously never seen one with hepatitis, yellow teeth a toothpick hanging out one side of his mouth and a cigarette hanging out the other. Colored my childhood, it did.

Here's what I want to know about:

1. Watercolor Draco (so pretty!)
2. firenze
3. atop the bulldozer
4. spinning Converse
5. Jordan College
6. kissing gummy bears
7. magic eight ball

CLOWNS KILL PEOPLE AND ARE EVIL AND CREEPY. That is all.

From: [identity profile] rainpuddle13.livejournal.com

I LOVED It right up until the last 15 pages or so when there was that whole space alien turtle thing and I was all "You've got to be fucking kidding me! I just read 1500 words and you cop at the end with a craptastic ending!!!" Apparently I didn't learn from this because HP ended the same way minus the crazy space alien turtle thing, but Pennywise was CREEPY and I don't even have a fear of clowns.

From: [identity profile] persephone33.livejournal.com

Pennywise (actually shivered when I typed that) IS creepy. I was 13 or 14 when I read that book. Never saw the movie. THAT might have sent me over the edge.

It was on Sci Fi not terribly long ago and I looked at it. Tim Curry is VERY scary. I don't recall it bothering me when I was young, but it definitely creeped me out a bit.

From: [identity profile] jandjsalmon.livejournal.com

I'm with Pud... moving is frakking frightening. VERY scary. I actually stopped reading the book mid way because I'd seen the movie FIRST and reading the book after was too too scary! ;)

From: [identity profile] caramelsilver.livejournal.com

I agree that clowns are creepy, but not as creepy as sheep's! They are scary, with their empty look, and, and, stuff!

I don't have that many icons, but do me.... um, you know what I mean.

From: [identity profile] persephone33.livejournal.com

Okay, how about...
1. omina paratus
2. you suck
3. idiots
4. peter
5. snark (I have big love of this one, can I steal it?)

From: [identity profile] caramelsilver.livejournal.com

Ok, akward question; how do I get the icons into my post? The insert image thingy will only upload one.

And sure you can steal it. I stole it from someone along time ago, sadly I don't remember who or where so I can't credit.

From: [identity profile] caramelsilver.livejournal.com

I can't seem to make it work. Bummer. But you take that icon. But we don't want that the it end up everywhere right? So, I won't let anyone else take it, and you won't let anyone take it. It's that okey?

From: [identity profile] jandjsalmon.livejournal.com

I love the spirit fingers... they always amuse me.

Pick me, Pick me! ;)

From: [identity profile] persephone33.livejournal.com

Okay...

I want to know about
1. Leslie
2. I am not pervy, I am inventive!
3. Kara - *eyes you*
4. My Blaise is a ...
5. Kipper fangirl
6. Leslie queen
7. Boyd (hee)

I do not, as of yet, have a Boyd icon... hm...

From: [identity profile] nbaeker.livejournal.com

that is all

From: [identity profile] alittleredhood.livejournal.com

At least I showed up for class.

I'd like you to pick some icons from me, but I doubt I'd ever get around to making an entry about because I am teh lame.

FTL! :D

Oh and also if you pick any of my icons there would probably be major DW spoilers. So. Yeah.

From: [identity profile] persephone33.livejournal.com

I'm SO glad you showed up for class!

Hee! I just got season 1 disc 2 today! YAY! Dr. Who rules. I'm not doing your icons. I don't want to be all spoiler-y-ed. I do like the "mmph." one, though.

But don't tell me!

Did you get my email about Friday, then?

From: [identity profile] alittleredhood.livejournal.com

Yes I did! Thanks for the email.

The "mmph" business makes me giddy every time. SO glad I have a DVR.

From: [identity profile] maureen.livejournal.com

Hey Carrie! Long time no talky...it's my fault. I've been so freaking busy lately. I'm trying to get caught up with the old flist tonight and am sort of moving backward through time. I remember something about a vacation you went on...and will get there eventually!

Meantime, I'd LOVE to play the meme game. If you aren't sick of it yet.

From: [identity profile] persephone33.livejournal.com

First of all, let me just say that your icons are awesome. From Han Solo ('Laugh it up, fuzzball' is something that I say to my husband, a LOT), to all of the Firefly, Scrubs, Supernatural and Draco love... Well, they're perfect, they are.

I want to hear about these, though.

1. Where do we go from here?
2. Faith smile
3. PPM
4. Cordy grin
5. Starbucks (I have a love/hate relationship with them)
6. Glory bitches
7. Jayne Apple (*sigh* LOVE Jayne.)

What is the overdeveloped sense of vengeance line from? The Princess Bride? Or POTC? I know it, but can't place it.

From: [identity profile] mugglechump.livejournal.com

Those quotes should totally be worked into a fic (or more than one, I'm not picky). "You can find naked people everywhere!" is a very accurate description of some stories set at Hogwarts. And of [livejournal.com profile] caliga_rpg, too.

From: [identity profile] mugglechump.livejournal.com

Oh, and I'll do the icon this if you feel like picking some for me.

From: [identity profile] persephone33.livejournal.com

I almost peed my pants at "Foxtrot for Jesus." I can't even remember the context, now. Not that it matters.

From: [identity profile] persephone33.livejournal.com

Okey dokie.

1. Sookie and Bill
2. Street
3. Minerva
4. Sebastian Bach
5. Roiben
6. Psalm
7. Sadist

That's quite the list, right there.
