Crap news:  So I didn't get a role in Into the Woods.  I'm okay with it.  The good thing about acting is that there is ALWAYS another audition. The next one is in September for a TBA show at the Adventure Space.  So that's good.  When God closes a door, He opens a window.  (Trite, but true.)  Anyhow, I won't be crazy busy at the beginning of school, so I can devote more time to the boys, both of whom want to play sports (!?).

Great News:  1.  Nolan is in Atlanta this week, so I've been able to read all I want.
2.  I finished the August Podcast and it will be up whenever [profile] lyndsiefenele has a free moment, I'm sure.
3.  Nolan ran into the talent agent that he used to be with on the plane (to Atlanta) and she said that she was     interested in representing me.  (BIG yay.)
4.  I went by the site for our new house (We're building a new house!) and they were moving dirt to get ready to pour the concrete foundation!  (ENORMOUS yay!)
5.  I spent $300 at Wal-Mart today, but got both boys school supplies, new underwear, socks and tshirts, some jeans & shirts, and groceries for the week.  (This is filed under great news because this means I won't have to go back there anytime soon.  I deplore Wal-Mart.  I get cranky in the parking lot.)
6.  I leave in 5 days for NYC!  I'm going with my mother and sister for a week.  I'm so excited I can't see straight!

So.  Life really is fabulous.  There's just a little hiccup every now and again.  :)

My husband finished DH.  (It's spoiler-y)

And he doesn't swear, normally.  I think he even called JKR a couple of names under his breath, too.  He wouldn't admit to it, though.  But he won't discuss it further.  Boys.  And he said the epilogue was fine.  Fine?  Riiiight.

Auditions?  45 people were there just last night for 20 roles.  I cracked the high note.  Go me.  =P  I did wear a dress that showed a LOT of cleavage, though.  My thought was, "Yeah, I can't sing, but I DO have these." :)  Call backs and a whole other night of auditions are tonight, so I'm really not holding my breath.  More people generally come the 2nd night of auditions.  *tries to take it all in stride*

And I'm in a sort of panic.  My computer's been all weird for about a month, now, and I called the guy to come and fix it, and they're TAKING IT.  AHHHHH!  I shouldn't panic, but EVERYTHING is on here.  Everything.  He said he'd have it back to me by tomorrow, but you know how that goes.  He did say he's have it back to me for sure by the 3rd.  So no one expect the FIA podcast before then.  Sorry!

Love to you all while I'm without technology!

How fabulous is this day?

My story won the [community profile] dgficexchange!  Hurrah!  And I got these pretties!

Best overall!

Best minor characters for the Slytherins behaving badly! (And Katie!  I love how she was included, too.)

And I entered the July challenge on the forums.  It has the wholly uncreative title of Renaissance Festival.

I just hope all my luck for today isn't used up.  Auditions tonight.  *crosses fingers*

I'm not going to put any spoilers in, not for my f-list, who I'm sure have all finished, but for Mom & Em, who I'm sure havent.  Except for the icon.  *points to icon*  That's the part I'm the most royally upset about, actually.  Funny ol' world, innit?

Hubby actually drove me to Taos, NM (because there isn't a bookstore one in Red River, NM) Saturday morning, and I bought it for FULL PRICE (guh) at a store called Moby Dickens, which may be the best part of the whole experience.  I read the book out loud to the family the whole way home, with voices and everything (I'm rather fond of my Lord Voldemort  voice.  Ralph Fiennes has nothing on me.  =P).  That put us up to chapter seven.

Then I said, "You people have to leave me alone so I can finish this."

And I did.  Last night, in the bathtub, crying like a baby.  Talk about an emotional roller coaster.  I was crying, angry, crying, indignant, crying, joyful, crying, pissed off as all hell.  I gasped, shrieked, yelled at the book, put it down, picked it back up, and finally finished it, crying.  Hubs came in wordlessly and brought me a cup of my favorite tea.  He glanced at the book that had been tossed against the bathroom wall. Then he looked at me, just set down the tea and backed away.

I really could've done without the tacked on epilogue, JKR.  REALLY.

Red River was alright.  Got sick halfway through the last day I was there, but I took some pretty pictures.

The rest of the pics are on my non-digital Nikon...  Probably much better ones.

Don't forget to vote for my story on the [community profile] dgficexchange.  I can't tell you which one was mine, but I'm all proud that I was nominated so many times.  *preens*

I have a vocal audition in a week.  Am a little sick.  Should not get hopes up.
