Because I know you all care SO much, here is my stunning living room, in all it's Christmas decorated glory.

So I'm out Christmas shopping again today, and I walk out of the store and go to my cute, black, Toyota Sequoia, Colin (Firth, not Creevey).  I open up the back, and stand there openmouthed, stunned that all of the packages that I'd bought so far this morning were GONE.  I stood there thinking, "I've been robbed. (*insert big bad words*) Someone stole all of those Christmas presents. " (About $300 worth...  It was a sickening feeling.)  Then I thought, "Why does my car smell like french fries?  I haven't had any french fries.  And what is all this crap spilling out of the storage compartment?"

Long story short, it wasn't my car.

Mine was parked two spaces down, locked.

*headdesk*

I closed the back of the imposter Sequoia, and left quickly.

[personal profile] airmidm, I can fulfill one of your Christmas list wishes, but I'll need that address.  :D

[profile] reenie1, I just need to get a box and go to the UPS store.  :D

We're about to get a buttload of crappy weather...  Sunday night there's supposed to be snow, ice, sleet, more ice....  *glares at mother nature*  Can't it hold off?  I've got stuff to do next week!  (Update:  The house is coming along:  there's sheetrock, the brick's done, and they're texturing the walls.  It's conceivable that we may be in by next December.  Just kidding.  But it'll probably be March.)

The in-laws have the kids.  We had dinner ALONE.  'Twas lovely.  :)

Awww, your Christmas stuff looks great! We need to do ours this weekend (that's why we have two teenagers, to set up the tree and 'deck the halls').

How funny, you got in the wrong vehicle? How many times have I almost done that...? I have a silver SUV, as do about 1/3 the residents in north Phoenix. (Another third own white pickups, and the rest falls under 'everything else'.) Thankfully, I set my alarm when I go to a shopping center. Sometimes that the only way I can find it. Hit the alarm button and see which one goes "beep beep." ^_^

So did your closing date get pushed back two months? I think that's par for the course. At first, we were told August and then it was bumped to October. Why do they do that? Why didn't they just say October? It's not like we're going to say, "Oh, that's too far away. If we can't get our house built in under 5 months, we're not buying from you." :P

Builders are a lot like Used Car Salesmen. They tell you exactly what they think you want to hear.
